FEWER PARTS. MORE POSSIBILITY.Make slowly. Make it yours.
OUR APPROACH

A place for curious hands.

Approachable wood projects with short cut lists and unhurried instructions. A simple place to begin, with room to make each piece your own.

Our subject is beginner woodcraft. Our starting point is a manageable project with clear choices.

What you will find here

Simple Wood Wise publishes project concepts, supply lists, illustrated studies, and short preparation notes. The library follows three interests: one-board ideas, simple assemblies, finishing practice. Each guide gives a starting size and a sequence you can read before gathering materials.

A small first success, with fewer decisions.

The beginner path separates making a part from learning to fit or finish it. Use a purchased tray blank to practice preparation, a thin bookmark blank to inspect edges, or a five-piece tray to learn overlapping sides. You can learn a useful detail without taking on every workshop operation at once.

How to read the projects

Illustrations are original concept drawings, not photographs or scale plans. Dimensions use actual metric sizes, and time estimates cover active work. The concepts have not been independently build-tested or load-rated. Check the written instructions, the condition of your materials, and the instructions that come with your tools and products.

Useful features

Search the project library, save an idea, tick off its supply list, or print a guide. The notebook keeps personal notes in this browser. Core project text is available without an account.
